Thompson Island Outward Bound Education Center’s Professional programs deliver customized adult programs designed to yield high-performance teams, cultivate a positive, supportive and empowering culture, and form greater trusting relationships amongst colleagues. Set amidst the serene wilderness of our 204-acre island preserve or designed in the location of your choosing, our programs stimulate creative development and incorporate a global perspective to meet the diverse challenges of today’s organizations. Courses operate year-round.

The Outward Bound Professional Approach
Our customized methodology is carefully designed to meet and exceed your goals. Each program follows a four-phase approach to help our clients succeed.
Assessment: Phase I
A thorough needs assessment of your team, including interviews, questionnaires, and/or meetings determines program scope, goals, and deliverables.
Design: Phase II
Ongoing discussions with our clients to determine individual, team, and organizational objectives. Because each team is different, we are flexible in our approach to meet your needs.
Delivery: Phase III
Custom programs provide a combination of experiential problem-solving initiatives, learning models, ropes courses, wilderness expeditions, and assessment instruments.
