4K Trail Run

4K Trail Run

Wednesday, May 22nd & Thursday, May 23rd, 2024

Thompson Island Outward Bound's Annual 4K Trail Run is the most unique and fun race in Boston! The 4K takes place on Thompson Island in the Boston Harbor, and in 2024 will be held on the afternoons of Wednesday May 22nd  and Thursday May 23rd. This event offers companies a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a team-building activity with their employees, and individual runners to experience a trail run like no other, in one of the most beautiful spots in Boston. Your participation in the 4K Trail Run directly supports Thompson Island Outward Bound's core mission to provide free, hands-on science learning and social emotional development to Boston students.

Why participate in the 4K Trail Run?

TEAM BUILDING Your employees will run together and socialize together during the 4K Trail Run. They’ll have fun, strengthen their relationships and thank you for making it happen!
COMMUNITY RECOGNITION Our goal is to ensure all sponsors receive maximum recognition, from social media shout-outs to inclusion of promotional products in our race swag bags. Companies will have multiple opportunities to have their support recognized to all of our registered runners.
GIVE BACK Your sponsorship helps bring thousands of Boston Public School students to Thompson Island Outward Bound each year, where they learn, explore and grow. Learn more here.

Fundraise to Increase Your Impact!

Fundraise with your team to win some great incentives and make an even bigger impact on our island!

Encourage and incentivize your employees to participate in the fundraising initiative by pledging a matching challenge. The corporate match will be added to the team’s overall fundraising and go toward the team fundraising incentives. Runners can make a direct impact in the life of a Boston Public School student by conducting their own fundraising campaign. It costs $2,300 for one BPS student to participate in our multi-year Connections program. By committing to raise $2,300 you will ensure a student can visit the island 12 times during their middle school career.
