Spend a day with us in the Boston Harbor supporting life-changing programs for Boston's youth by doing what you love -- fishing!
A small group of anglers spend the day around Thompson Island and in the Boston Harbor with professional fishing guides vying for the largest fish and most catches. Event fee includes a full day on the water with a coastguard certified fishing guide. Enjoy lunch on Thompson Island. Bring your own gear or use rods provided by your guide. The health of our anglers, guides and staff is of the upmost importance, and we will follow the State's distancing and safety guidelines throughout the day, to ensure all fishing and socializing happen in the safest way.
$1,500 Tournament Fee, of which $1,000 is a tax-deductible donation to support youth programming.
Captain Josh Farkes enjoys guiding anglers of all different experience levels and fishing in shallow water where things are more visible. Josh was born and raised in Boston and has been fishing these waters since catching his first striped bass in 1998.
Capt. Wayne Frieden helps anglers experience the beauty and challenge of fishing the rocky Outer Harbor Islands and the unique urban setting of the Inner Harbor with Reel Dream Charters. Wayne specializes in fly and light tackle fishing and is celebrating his 19th year guiding in Boston Harbor.
Captain Ryan Gluek began fly fishing at age 10! His guiding career has taken him to Alaska helping clients land trophy trout and Pacific salmon, to Colorado including wilderness float trips and to Patagonia, Chile, for trophy trout. Now back in his home waters, Double Haul Anglers chases everything from stripers to tuna on light tackle and fly rods.
CAPT NICK KATHMANN – BOSTON, CAPE COD, RHODE ISLAND
Captain Nick Kathmann is a fifth generation fisherman who grew up fishing speckled trout and redfish down in New Orleans before moving up to Boston 14 years ago. Operating Fly Guy Fish Guides, he offers full service catch and release fly fishing and light tackle charters from Boston, Cape Cod and Islands to Rhode Island. Outside of fishing, Captain Nick is also an outdoor educator, having taught sailing in the Boston Harbor, and led outdoor trips in hiking, rock climbing, and ice climbing throughout the northeast.
Captain Eric Kulin works as a commercial photographer as well as a fishing guide during the summer months. He has been shooting and fishing in the Northeast for 25 years. EricKulin.com and SnapShotCharters.net are a perfect mix of two passions that became a career.
Captain Joe LeClair is a licensed fishing guide in Florida and Massachusetts. He guides in the area around Boca Grande, Charlotte Harbor, and in the Everglades National Park. He runs single day and multi-day camping trips and has an outfitters license with the U.S. Department of the Interior. In the summer months, Capt. Joe lives in Marion, MA and fishes the Elizabeth Islands and Cape Cod.
Captain Faxon Michaue has been guiding the north shore waters for the last 8 years from striped bass to bluefin. He enjoys sharing his passion for fishing with anglers of all abilities. You’ll catch him on his days off from guiding (few and far between) doing the exact same thing.
Captain Shaun Ruge is the Product Manager for Navionics and has been with Riptide Charters for 15 years. Shaun’s saltwater roots are in Boston Harbor light tackle and fly angling and he is now based in Cape Cod & the islands. 508.414.9045 | [email protected]
CAPT TONY SANTOSUS - North Shore
Captain Tony Santosus is a licensed U.S Coast Guard Captain and holds a 50 Ton Master’s License.Tony’s passion for fishing started in the waters of Long Island sound over 50 years ago. He has traveled the globe in pursuit of unique and exciting opportunities to test his angling skills. Today, Tony is the owner/operator of Cutwater Guide Services in Marblehead, MA focusing on light tackle and fly fishing along the North Shore.
Captain Art Sawayer has earned his USCG Approved Master Captains License and has over 50 years of experience fishing the coastal waters of MA. His passion and expertise during those years has been the thrill of catching large numbers of Striped Bass, Bluefish, Bonito and Albacore with fly rods and light tackle.
Captain Randy Sigler has run Sigler Guide Service for over 20 years, fishing Boston’s rocky island-studded North Shore with fly and light spin tackle. Between their Kids Fishing Camp, group corporate charts, family trips, inshore or offshore, Randy and his nine guides love sharing all that they know about fishing Boston’s North Shore.
Captain Matt Zimmermann is as energetic at it comes. Growing up, he worked on charter boats off Block Island. After graduating from Endicott, he has been fishing the waters North of Boston for 10 years, specializing in top-water and fly fishing for large striped bass.
Captain Webb Thompson is a lifelong fisherman, teacher and guide. He started his guiding career in Wyoming where he worked for 7 years. He now teaches middle school on the North Shore and since 2003 has been guiding fly and tackle charters in Boston Harbor and surrounding waters in the summer.
Captain John Curry is a light tackle spin and fly fishing guide and the owner of Capefishing Charters. John has over 35 years of fishing Cape Cod and also guides on Charlotte Harbor and Boca Grande in the winter. Shallow water sight fishing is his specialty with big Stripers, Snook, Redfish and Tarpon the main targets.
